Students in Sarisbury Green won top awards for personal achievement, endeavour and hard work in their school studies.
Pupils at Lord Wilson School were awarded certificates and trophies for their studies at the annual prize-giving ceremony at the all-boys Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties (BESD) school in Montefiore Way.

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage and Pompey legend Linvoy Primus presented the awards, while other special guests included Paul Salter, the school’s chair of governors, Locks Heath Rotary Club representatives and members of Skills Force who had worked with some pupils teaching them life skills, including first aid and navigation.
Year Seven pupil Michael Webb from Locks Heath and Year 11 student Joe Stafford, 16, from Gosport won the Students of the Year awards.
Michael, 14, of Locksheath Park Road said: “I’m very pleased. Winning the award helps me out for my studies next year.”
Meanwhile Year Seven pupil Harry Harris scooped a record 15 awards as well as numerous certificates at the award ceremony.
Macaulay Dixon from Gosport was awarded the top award of the Rotary Club’s Shield of Endeavour presented by the Rotary Club of Locks Heath.
“It was exciting to get some awards I haven’t had before,” said the 16-year-old who will be studying fishing management at Sparsholt College in September. “I was quite happy and chuffed with myself.”
Head teacher Stuart Tyreman said: “It was an incredibly successful event and I appreciate the support from everybody here today.
“It recognises the sheer hard work and endeavour the boys, the staff and the governors put into making sure the boys have the support they need.”
